October Highlights
Blessing of the Animals
On September 30 and October 1 we celebrated St. Francis Day, Blessing of the Animals by remembering St Francis who called Christianity to embrace the first article of the Apostles Creed, God the Creator. As we celebrated St. Francis, we welcomed our creatures, our pets, for a blessing and a seat in worship. Our pets were created by God and are loved by God. May they and their human families experience joy and companionship together and continue to be a blessing to each other.
Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Harner!
We offer our heartfelt congratulations and love to Jordan (Schwalm) and Hunter Harner who were united in Marriage on Saturday, September 30th. Jordan is the daughter of Ross and Jamie Schwalm and the granddaughter of Jim and Sherry McDonald. Eternal God, strengthen Jordan and Hunter with patience, kindness, gentleness, and all other gifts of your spirit, so they may fulfill the vows they have made. Keep them faithful to each other and to you. Fill them with such love and joy that they may build a home of peace and welcome. Guide them by your word to serve you all their days; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Harvest Home
On October 7-8 Trinity celebrated Harvest Home. We look at this time to thank God for His many blessings, and to share with those less fortunate than ourselves. This year’s recipient of our Harvest Home donations was the Tri-Valley Food Closet. Thank you for sharing with your neighbors in need. A special thank you to Yvonne Specht and Susie Bixler for decorating and setting up the Harvest Home display.
Guest Speaker from Midwest Food Bank
For our Harvest Home worship services we were blessed to have as our guest speaker, Kathy Anderson-Martin, Executive Director of the Midwest Food Bank. The Food Bank generously supplies us with items used for our Agape Ministry.
Agape Table Meal
October’s Agape meal served 66 meals. November’s Agape Meal will be held on Wednesday, November 8, at 5:30 PM in the social hall.
