June and July Highlights

SCUBA, DIVING INTO FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD.

During the week of June 9 through 13, kids took a deep dive into an amazing undersea adventure where they experienced the ever flowing, never-ending love of God. Kids were immersed in the Word and discovered what living water is really all about! There was music, crafts, lessons, games, snacks and more!

  • Day 1 – God is a friend who’s real. God shows himself to Elijah. John 6:69

  • Day 2 – God is a friend who loves. God shows compassion to Nineveh. John 13:34

  • Day 3 – God is a friend we can trust. Jesus calms a storm. John 14:27

  • Day 4 – God is a friend forever. Jesus dies and comes back to life. John 11:25

  • Day 5 – God is a friend for everyone. Lydia believes in Jesus. John 3:16

A Colonial Liturgy in English, July 6-7th

In celebration of the 4th of July, we worshipped using a colonial liturgy.

Send Off Sunday, July 14th

We had a special blessing and send off for those people leaving for the Mission Trip and watched a video of the Christmas Lip Sync performance the youth shared at area nursing homes. The idea for doing the lip sync at area nursing homes came from last year’s mission trip. The residents of the nursing home where they served enjoyed it so much they decided to share the joy by performing it a two local nursing homes. God bless your discipleship.

Mission Trip, June 14-21

For the Mission Trip this year, our group went to Newark, New York. The campers were assigned to a work detail which included repairs and clean up of the area. Because of their hard work and willingness to help, the group, once again, took home the "Golden Plunger" award. The Mission participants will have a presentation for the congregation on their trip on September 8th during the worship service.

Agape Table Meal

June’s Agape meal served 64 platters, and July’s meal served 67. The kitchen committee has now decided to always make extra food, so that we can send a monthly meal to Haven Ministries in Sunbury. Our thanks to Robin Otto for agreeing to deliver the food to Haven Ministries.

August’s Agape Meal will be held on Wednesday, August 14, in the social hall at 5:30 PM. August’s menu will be hamburger/bun, macaroni salad, chips, and peach shortcake. Pass the word to your friends and neighbors. Trinity’s Agape Table meal is always free. No offering is ever taken at the meal.

Although registration is not required, signing up helps the Kitchen Committee better plan the amount of food to cook. You can sign up on the easel at the back of the sanctuary, or call the church office at (570) 682-9373 by Monday, August 5.
