December Highlights

Advent Craft Faire

Thanks to the generosity of crafters in our congregation, we again were able to enjoy our Annual Advent Craft Faire where we made cool Christmas crafts. Oh what fun!!!

Annual Nativity Puppet Show

This year we again had our Annual Nativity Puppet Show, a Covid-friendly version in the Social Hall. Ellie Dunkelberger read the story of the first Christmas, and the children placed the puppets. The kiddos did a great job answering the questions Ellie’s Mom Carolyn asked them about what happened that special day. It was so good to hear how well they knew the real meaning of Christmas! Following the puppet show, they made an Advent craft.

Children’s Christmas Program

We were again blessed to experience Christmas through our annual Children’s Christmas Program. From the special music, to readings and recitations, to the characters of Christmas, the children did an excellent job telling us the story of the birth of our Savior Jesus. We thank Lisa Rodichok and Carolyn Dunkelberger for doing such a wonderful job coordinating the program and everyone who helped with rehearsals. A special thank you to all the children who participated in the program.

Thank You

Thank You to the families who lead the Candle Lighting service on each Sunday in Advent – the Fetterolf family, the Dunkelberger family, the Rodichok family, the Kramer family, and the Ballay family.

Thank You to Yvonne Specht, Vicki Snyder, Susie Bixler, Pat Harner, Kylene Kroh, and Kristin Troutman for decorating the church for the Christmas season. It was beautiful!

Passion Rescue Mission

Trinity’s contribution to the Passion Rescue Mission (PRM) Water Access Relief Initiative, combined with an anonymous generous donor through PRM offering matching funds, resulted in acquiring another reservoir for a Haitian family.

Archelet Duverne expressed sincere thanks to the people of Trinity for their continued support and wished everyone a Merry Christmas.

In February 2019, the Discipleship Committee invited Archelet to speak at Trinity and share a plan to address the lack of access to clean water endured by the most vulnerable families in Haiti.  He described young children traveling down steep mountains to fetch water for the family.  Since the water access relief initiative began, there have been 80 reservoirs built to collect rain water and provide water access at their homes. Trinity’s support assisted in the construction of three reservoirs.Passion Rescue Mission: Trinity’s contribution to the Passion Rescue Mission (PRM) Water Access Relief Initiative, combined with an anonymous generous donor through PRM offering matching funds, resulted in acquiring another reservoir for a Haitian family.
