Our mission was to provide livestock to families in South America. Every $10 raised bought animals to support a family. We raised over $140 and were able to help 14 families!
Special thanks to all our awesome students, their parents for supporting this important ministry and to our dedicated staff - Lisa and Kora Rodichok, Joan Klinger, Ayden Rodichok, Kristin and Hunter Troutman, Carolyn and Ellie Dunkelberger, Becky and Isabella Dietrich, Ava Kramer, Dara Troutman, Pam Ulicny, Eleanor Shade, Alice Straub, Annie Kramer. And a special shout out to Moses for joining us on our adventure!
A Colonial Liturgy in English
On July 3rd and 4th, we celebrated Independence Day with a colonial service. An order for the worship of Almighty God among English-speaking people in the American colonies translated for the liturgy prepared in 1748 by Henry Melchior Muhlenburg, Peter Brunholtz, and John F. Handshuh. It was a beautiful, patriotic service honoring our history, our country and the men and women who serve and have served in our armed forces and enable us to be and stay free.
Agape Table Meal. August 11th
The Kitchen Committee served 111 takeout meals at the July 14 Agape Table meal. The August meal will be held at the eating house at the Valley View Park. August’s menu includes pulled chicken/roll, macaroni salad, and brownies/rice krispie treats. The meals will be packaged takeout style, but all are welcome to stay at the eating house to eat their meals. Utensils and water will be provided to those who choose to stay.
Kitchen Committee’s big news is that Agape Table meals will return to Trinity’s Social Hall in September!
On September 8th, the monthly Agape Table meal moves back inside! We will meet in Trinity’s Social Hall at 5:30 for dinner and fellowship, as we did before the pandemic began. Kitchen Committee is looking forward to the return of in-person meals, and we know many of the regular participants are, as well. Please join us as we resume this monthly time of free meals and fellowship! Spread the word…everyone is welcome! (FYI- once we move back inside, takeouts will only be available to shut ins.)
