Archelet Duverne, Executive Director at Passion Rescue Mission who visited us at Trinity last year, proudly announced:

“The dream was big!  The result was big!  We have completed more than 50 rain water reservoirs for families in need in Haiti.  We continue to dream BIG!  The best is yet to come!  So many more families are on our waiting list for a reservoir, and we believe that God will continue to provide.  One step at a time.  Hand in hand.  We will work non-stop to serve as many people as possible.  In the meantime, let’s enjoy what God has accomplished through us.  That result of 50 completed is not only my job.  We all contributed in some way to make it happen.  God Bless.  Let’s celebrate!”

A second water reservoir sponsored by Trinity has been completed in Haiti. Thank you to everyone for your continued support of these much-needed reservoirs. Following are pictures of the water reservoir and a note we received from Archelet Duverne, Executive Director of Passion Rescue Mission, expressing his sincere thanks.

Hello brothers and sisters.

Thanks a whole lot for the support you have provided to that family!  Thanks to the support you have provided, water problems are solved for one more family in Haiti. Please continue to help Haiti in your prayers. God Bless!

In June of 2020 Passion Rescue Mission completed the construction of our first water reservoir for a family of 6 in Haiti.  Support to build additional reservoirs will continue as many families in Haiti are still in need of access to water.

The Water Access Relief Initiative

The Discipleship Committee invited Archelet Duverne to Trinity in January 2020 to talk about The Water Access Relief Initiative, addressing the need for access to water for daily living in the rural areas of Haiti.  Archelet lives in Haiti and is Executive Director of Passion Rescue Mission (www.passionrescuemission.org). Through this organization, money is collected to build individual reservoirs for families.

The reservoirs are filled by rain water, collected on the roof and piped to a cement structure. Archelet's goal is to establish relationships and support to build these reservoirs for the people of these communities that live on less than two dollars a day.  Access to desperately needed water will bring hope to these vulnerable families. Trinity is currently working to secure funds through donations and fundraising to aid in building reservoirs.
