Mission Trip 2020 Update

Due to the COVID-19 situation, Group Mission Trips has cancelled their entire slate of mission trips for Summer 2020. A Zoom meeting will be scheduled to discuss our further actions. As such, our planned Chili Cookoff and Basket Raffle have been postponed to a time To Be Announced and proceeds will be used for our Mission Trip in 2021.

Junior Youth Group Activity

Due to all schools in Pennsylvania being cancelled for the remainder of the year, Youth Group is cancelled for the rest of the year as well, including our trip to Reptiland in May. For all who would like, Pastor Brian is doing a Youth Devotion on YouTube every Wednesday afternoon. Links to this video are posted on the church's Facebook page.

ELW (cranberry) Hymnals

Worship & Music Committee wants to remind everyone that the new ELW hymnals can still be ordered in honor of/in memory of someone. The cost of a hymnal is $24.50. All hymnals ordered will have a special bookplate placed inside the front cover recognizing the dedication. While we are still worshipping remotely, orders/checks can be sent to the office with your offering. At this point, no deadline has been set.

Album Release, June 14th

Pastor Brian is doing his Album Release on June 14th. CD's will be on sale for $10 with proceeds going to the Haiti Mission Project.

Shut In Crawl

Shut In Crawl, where everyone is invited to visit our shut ins, scheduled for June 6th has been postponed until August – hopefully.

Pill Bottle Donations

We are collecting empty pill bottles for the Matthew 25 Project in Blue Ash, OH, where they will be sent to third world countries for use there. In these developing countries, medicines—when actually obtainable—are often dispensed into hands, pockets, leaves or any other available container. Matthew 25 Ministries accepts donations of clean, unlabeled pill bottles to help the poorest of the poor in many ways: Medicine can be distributed in sterile containers. Pill bottles that are not appropriate for shipping are recycled for cash that goes towards Matthew 25: Ministries’ programs. Before donating, please remove labels and wash out the bottles. Bottles can be placed in the box marked “Pill Bottles” located in the overflow.

Pick Your Favorite Hymn

The Worship and Music Committee would like YOU to pick our hymns for the church services this summer, hopefully in person! Please use the attached form to list the names of hymns you would like to sing during the summer worship services. Completed forms can be returned to the church office. We are looking forward to learning which hymns are your favorites!
